Dying Art is the fifth book in the DCI Bennett series There is something in this book that has to do with the book before this Game Point the author does give enough background though so that anyone picking up this book without having read the previous one should be able to follow the story easily enoughCyril is a character that will have really gotten into the readers hearts by now and with how the last book ended I was dying to catch up with him to see how he was coping with the loss of a colleague Even though he is probably over the worst of it Cyril is still struggling It was good to see the author incorporating this throughout the story In the real world death is something that affects us and it tends to get brushed to the side uite uickly in fiction but the author keeps it very realI loved the whole story line to do with paintings It reminded me a little of The Thomas Crown Affair though this is a lot darker and involves murder From the very first murder at the beginning of the book I certainly didn t envision the whirl wind of a journey I would be taken on into a very dark and disturbing world of the artsDying Art is a commendable follow on in what should be an award winning crime series Bennett and Owen s working relationship is one that I have immensely enjoyed watching it develop and the characters are really coming into their own and they very much now stand out from the crowd Great readMy thanks to Bloodhound Books for an advanced readers copy of this book All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway Revolutionary path journey I would be taken on into a very dark and disturbing world of the artsDying Art is a commendable follow on in what should be an award winning crime series Bennett and Owen s working relationship is one that I have immensely enjoyed watching it develop and the characters are really coming into their own and they very much now stand out from the crowd Great readMy thanks to Bloodhound Books for an advanced readers copy of this book All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway
